Abigail Marie Clancy Bio
Abigail Marie Clancy (born 10 January 1986) is an English lingerie and catwalk model and TV personality. She was the second-place winner of Britain's Next Top Model (cycle 2 in 2006) and she won series 11 in Strictly Come Dancing (2013). Since 2015 she is Britain's Next Top Model. Clancy is the fourth child of Karen (nee Sullivan), Geoffrey Thomas Clancy and Geoff Thomas Clancy was born in Liverpool. Clancy was born in Woolton which is a region of Liverpool. She was a student at St Mary's Primary School, as well as St Julie's Catholic High school. Clancy was a member of the girls' group Genie Queen, which was directed by Andy McCluskey (Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark). Clancy was one of the 13 finalists on Living TV's Britain's Next Top Model, which saw her compete over 10 weeks to win a contract as a model. Clancy reached the runway show's final stage with another contestant Lianna Fowler, becoming the second place winner. Clancy was featured in Britain's Next Top Model and has since been modelled by a variety of publications and newspapers. Clancy was the model for the Triumph Bonneville Motorbike and was on the cover for Arena magazine in May 2007. Clancy was featured in Sports Illustrated magazine's 2010 swimsuit edition. Clancy was featured because of her sporting connection to Peter Crouch. Clancy was photographed by the magazine wearing only body paint to appear as if she were wearing an England shirt. Yu Tsai took the photos. Clancy, who wore an England shirt as part of Umbro's 2010 campaign for sportswear, was also featured alongside other wives of footballers or girlfriends from the countries which won the World Cup. Clancy was a model for Giles Deacon's Ready-To-Wear Giles Spring 2011. In July 2013, she walked as part of London designer Hasan Hejazi's campaign as part of a fashion editorial written by Absynth Photographic and the fashion film of Gabriel Gettman. Clancy was also featured on the August 2011 UK Esquire magazine cover by Solve Sundsbo. In December 2013 Clancy was included in LOVE magazine's Advent Calendar alongside Suki Waterhouse and Cara Delevingne. Clancy was on the cover British Marie Claire, July 2014, and British Elle March 2015. In October 2019, Abbey Clancy and her daughter Sophia Crouch collaborated with Lipsy, a London-based fashion brand, for the Launch of their AW'19 collection. The collection for AW19 was unveiled by Lipsy in Abu Dhabi, in January of 2020.
