Miley Ray Cyrus born Destiny Hope Cyrus on November 23rd in 1992 is an American musician, singer and actress. Her distinctive raspy voice is the hallmark of her music, which combines elements from many genres and styles, including country pop, rock music from experimental, pop, and rock. With a total of thirteen songs, Cyrus is the female artist who has had the most US Billboard 200 Top-five Albums in the 21st century. Cyrus's private life, public images and performances have often sparked controversy, and have garnered a lot of media coverage. Cyrus, the daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus country music singer, was a household name as a teenager when she played the main character on Disney Channel's Hannah Montana (2006-2011). She was Hannah Montana's first and third-five top-five soundtracks, in addition to the US Billboard Hot 100 Top-ten single "He Could be the One." Cyrus's own discography contains the US number one albums Meet Miley Cyrus (2007), Breakout (2008) and Bangerz (2012); the top five releases Can't Be Tamed (2017), Younger Now (2017) and Plastic Hearts (2020); and Miley Cyrus and His Dead Petz (2015). Cyrus's EPs The Time of Our Lives (2009) and She Is Coming (2019) also debuted within the top five. Plastic Hearts, Cyrus' most popular album, premiered at the top of the Billboard Rock Charts. It featured the lead track "Midnight Sky". She released other singles including "See You Again", 7 Things", "The Climb", Party in the U.S.A." and "Party in The U.S.A.". The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) recognized "Party in America" as an official Diamond. Cyrus's achievements include appearances in the Time 100 in 2008 and 2014, MTV's Best Artist of 2013 Award and placement on Billboard’s Greatest of All Time Artists List for the year 2019. She is often regarded as one of the few examples of successful child actors-turned-singers. Cyrus, an actress, has appeared in Bolt (2008) as well as the feature films Hannah Montana: The Movie (2009 and 2010). Cyrus was the coach on The Voice for two seasons and was a guest on "Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too", a Netflix episode of Black Mirror (2019). Cyrus is a vocal supporter of animal rights. She also began a vegan life in 2014, and she established the non-profit Happy Hippie Foundation in 2014 which is focused on the issue of youth homelessness as well as the LGBT community.
