Jimmy Donaldson (born May 7, 1998) popularly referred to as MrBeast is an American YouTube personality, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. The YouTube personality has been credited with pioneering a genre of YouTube videos that focus on costly stunts. His main YouTube channel, "MrBeast", is the fifth-most-subscribed on the platform. Donaldson began posting videos to YouTube in early 2012 at the age of 13, under the username "MrBeast6000"; his early videos ranged from "Let's Plays" to "videos estimating the riches of other YouTubers." He became a viral sensation in 2017 when he released his "Counting to 100,000", video that received thousands of hits in the span of a few days. When his channel began to gain traction, Donaldson hired several of his former classmates to assist him in running the growing brand. MrBeast is Donaldson's primary YouTube channel with over 100 million subscribers was founded in 2022.
